Houseplant Blend potting mix is made with:
Houseplant Blend is a free draining multi purpose classic potting mix that is perfect for a wide variety of houseplants including ivy, jade, fig, philodendron, spider plants, etc. The variety of ingredients in this mix are intended to reduce compacting of the medium and discourage fungus gnats.

This mix is distinguished by what it doesn't have in it, peat moss. We make this mix with Coir which is ground coconut husk and the absence of peat is key to getting rid of fungus gnats. Fungus gnats are attracted to peat moss, and almost all commercially available plant mixes are made with peat moss. This coir based mix has no peat and the coir we use is a bit more costly, but it is also more durable, resistant to fungus (and the gnats), and is a wonderful free draining mix for prized houseplants and tropicals.
